Hi to everybody,
Last class two main things happened:
ONE was that we continued our lab (as you can see here there are some pictures of the students during the activity, and a way to fold paper airplanes) our lab is about how changing the differenet parts of a paper airplane (IV) effect the final result which would be the length flown (also called the DV).
Most of us arrived to the second test which is the amount of folds on the airplane. F-or the first one, it was how many paper clips had been added on the airplane( first two, then four, and then six).
For each test we had to try it three times and then we made an average, to which, we made observations (it crashed in the wall, or it hit someone) so we could then draw a conclusion!
For the second one instead, we had to decide how many folds there would be and then the rest was the same.
IF one of you lost the sheet here is the link to moodle in case you need to print it out: http://zagreb.ceesa.net/course/view.php?id=107
The SECOND thing we did was we talked about the 5th grade class SHADOW DAY!!!
This is mostly for the 6th graders since it will be them who will have to show and introduce the 5th graders to MIDDLE SCHOOL!
We will have this shadow day twice, since their class was to big they will be split in two groups, one will go on Wednesday and one on Thursday. They will be assigned one or two 6th graders and our class will have to go around and have their normal classes with them, except that, after lunch the 5th grade will go back to their classroom and 6th grade will have their normal routine.
The 6th grade drama students won't be here during Wednesday lunch so their buddies will have to eat lunch with their other friends.
Some of the things 5th graders will do with 6th grade is they will have a SCAVENGER HUNT!! They will get some clues and will have to follow those to be able to have all the teachers sign a not to win the scavenger hunt!
Another thing that will be done is that the 5th grade will try opening the 6th grade lockers and will learn better about moodle. Hope you all enjoy shadow day!
That is mostly all about what happened on Monday's class......
THE NEXT SCRIBE IS JAKUB!!!! (Hope you enjoy)
I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS THING DIDN'T PUBLISH MY OTHER PICTURES......SORRY.....VAlE

Hey Valentina,
ReplyDeleteI really loved your blog post. It was long enough, had good information and the colors were a nice touch. Though one improvment you could make was to put some pictures you took in class. But other wise... GREAT BLOG!
Karin
This unit looks a little cool. I am looking foreward to 6th grade to do this.I like it because you can know what happenes in class.
ReplyDeleteBOND!!!
Hey Vale,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post. I liked reading the information on your blog, and the colors. I also liked the picture. The only thing you could change was by adding more pictures to your blog, that you took in our science class, though i know that you said that the pictures didn't publish as you wanted them to.
Overall, nice blog!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteWell you did do a nice job but you should have taken some pictures in class and put them on the post. Also you should have mentioned that we had to measure the amount that the plane had flown and written it down, then when we had thrown the plane three times we had to find the average by adding the numbers and dividing them by three( because that was the number of measures we had ). Finally here is an example of a paper airplane that people could use for the final test where they have to make their own model of plane.

hi your scribe was cool
ReplyDelete(LOLO WROTE THIS) :)
I thought that you did a good job on your scribe post and I thought that it was an appropriate length. I liked your use of color and the alternations of color. Grammatically, your entire post was correct all except for only one sentence.
ReplyDeleteAs for spelling you also did a good job and I found very few mistakes. IN the beginning though, there was only a small amount about the lab that you did and more information in the second half of your post. Over all I thought that you did a very good job.

Hi, Vale!
ReplyDeleteI liked your scribe post very much as it is simple and easily understandable. I liked that you used different colors for different sentences. I also liked that you included shadow day. It sounded really fun and I hope that you guys enjoyed it too! I also think that putting the moodle link for the lab instructions is very helpful for the people that have lost the sheet. I would like to tell you that you could have worked on spelling becuase you have some misspelt words in the post. Other than that, I think that you did a really good job Vale!
Hey Vale,
ReplyDeleteI really liked your scribe post. I think it was a good idea that you started of with "Last class two major things happened." I think it is a good start to sort things out, so that people do not get confused. One recommendation would be, that you should make your font colors a bit more darker and you could also add more scientific explanation to the lab. All in all, nice scribe post.
p.s. I remember that we did the paper plane lab last year. We also had to find the DV, IV and explain them.

Hey Vale!
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog. I thought it was very interesting and it caught my attention. I really liked how you showed the instructions by using pictures because it was clear! Next time, though, check some of your spelling. Now, to the science-you explained very well the IVs and DVs and how they related to our class-It helped me get them even more into my head!!I really liked that you explained how some of the airplanes flew, so that the people that weren't in the class understood what was going on. Another suggestion is that you could have added a little more info on the airplains by asking the students how their airplane flew. This is a fantastic first post!! I really enjoyed reading it!!!!
Keep up the good work!

Great post Valentina! I liked how you gave the link to moodle and explained the events that are happening on shadow day. I think you could have revised and edited it a bit more because I found a few mistakes in the post. But over all, great post and thank you for the link.
ReplyDeleteDear Valentina,
ReplyDeleteI liked the colors, how you explained what we were doing and the picture. You had one little error, you said there were pictures of the students but there were none and you should have put in order what we did for shadow day.

2 minor post
Hey Vale I like your blog post! Great job explaining the lab you could of maybe wrote what was for homework or if there wasn't any homework. Maybe you could've put some measurements of the lab. Overall nice post.
ReplyDeleteP.S I like your use of colors :)
Hi there Valentina - I really like your opening picture for this post - very appropriate. But in the future, if something like pictures do not post, please proof your post and do not include that part in your writing. Nice use of colors thoughout the writing, but paragraphs should have more space between them. It's helpful you included a link to Moodle, especially for folks looking for more information. more pictures and another link would have also been helpful. The science part is described well, but I think you could have focused on that a bit more. Go into depth about the different variables and maybe explain how changing the mass represents a fair-test. Overall, nice first Scribe post. ~Ms. D.
